Mathematics vs Physics
2

Mathematics isn't science. In fact, its approach is exactly the opposite compared to, for example, physics. Mathematics is an elaborate game, in which it is decided from the outset to play by the given rules. Then one proceeds by proving theorems; truths already implicitly hidden in these rules. In that way, one might say that mathematics is the easiest thing in the world, as everything is given from... (posted by Johan 1 year 247 days ago.)
TOE (Theory of Everything)

Some theoretical physicists, most notably Stephen Hawking and several super-string theorists have frequently foretold that we will soon know nature's ultimate natural law(s). That is, that the theoretical recipe book will finally be complete and can be printed with permanent, waterproof ink... This also was Einstein's dream during the final thirty years of his life, and t here is indeed an... (posted by Johan 1 year 255 days ago.)
Feynman vs. Zwicky

Richard Feynman was my hero when I studied physics. Although I never got to meet him in person before he passed away (in 1988) he made a great impression and impact on me. In addition to being a real maverick, Feynman was also a very pragmatic scientist - if a theory could not be used to describe a phenomenon in nature, it was rubbish, it did not matter how "sophisticated" it was mathematically.... Quantum Physics - Future Gold Mine

Quantum physics will in the near future be an inevitable, indispensable and useful part of everyday life. It is coming, and impossible to stop. In fact, we are already there, but have yet only scratched the surface of an enormous iceberg, the majority of which is still hidden and unused. Those who do not realize this fact will be left helplessly behind. In my job I often come across people... (posted by Johan 1 year 266 days ago.)
